a random thought, i am puzzled when novels/poems have sentences like "i can vividly remember the smell of her hair" or shirt, or blanket, or hands, or anything that can have scents
is it just me, but how the hell do you recall a smell in its absence! so it might be possible to remember that it smells good/bad, endorphin-releasing or puke-inducing, but how can you vividly remember how something smells like without it being around? teach me leh
